The concept behind El Vermut was born in 2017, surrounded by glasses of vermouth and the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Spanish vermuterias. Greta and Ollie Inglis, siblings and co-founders, grew up in Italy, making the move to Barcelona and Tarragona respectively, in 2016. A shared family interest in vermouth quickly developed, and we decided London needed to experience the fabulous variety Spanish vermouth offers.
El Vermut opened as a bar and tapas restaurant in 2018, evolving to incorporate a deli and bottle shop during the pandemic of 2020. We are specialist importers of a number of vermouth brands, working closely with producers to bring exciting flavours to the UK.
